Yuki Chikudate
Yuki Chikudate is the main vocalist and keyboardist of the dream pop band, Asobi Seksu. She was born in Japan and is of Japanese descent, which she claims to be what contributes to the Japanese lyrics in a few of the band's songs. [1][2]
Personal Life
Yuki was born in Japan[3] to an Okinawan mother, and she states that apart from her nuclear family, most of her relatives on her mother's side reside in Okinawa.[4][5] In her early childhood, she moved to Southern California with her nuclear family and spent her childhood there. At age 16, she moved to New York alone, leaving behind her family.[6]
